Colin Hamilton

Hello, my name is Col Hamilton, and I am 6th generation farmer at Narromine NSW.

As a father and grandfather I have grave concerns at what holds for future generations.

 We don’t own the land and water we use to produce the good foods and fibre for the world, we are simply custodians of these resources borrowed from the next generation.

 Our Kids deserve better than to be left to clean up our mess, and should be shown a better example than is currently being displayed.

I could sit back, and watch and whinge about the increasing lack of respect and acknowledgement of rural NSW. Except for the pork barrelling at election time, I don’t see any likely-hood of change for the better under the current circumstances.

I believe I represent a large and growing number of rural Australians whom are increasingly ashamed and disgusted by this and previous Governments neglect and “non-representation” of their rural constituents.

I never once dreamed of, or aspired to become a politician, but I couldn’t die allowing the destruction of our grandchildren’s future without doing something about it. So I’m taking a stand, and I ask you to support me to stamp out the greed and corruption, restore honesty integrity and trust to politics, and give hope and assurance to our kids.
